A year ago, I wrote this post titled "quality" and here I am a year later even more in love with this department and these talented people.
These people are my people! They're so talented and so silly and I have so much fun singing with them. Chamber Choir is something that I've talked about a lot here, but I feel like I'll never be able to talk about it "too much." Everyday I step into that class, it's like it's like I'm living in a dream. Everyone is so talented and worthy of being there and even when we fight, we all still support each other.
It's so beautiful; this concept of "everything we do, we do together." As cliché as this mantra sounds, it rings true throughout the choir room. The minute one person is struggling, everyone else is struggling. The second someone's joyful or excited, we're all joyful with them. The moment that a anyone steps through the doors of the choir room, they're greeted with smiles and helping hands. It's a really crazy environment, but with everyone working together and being the best they can be, it turns out pretty dang close to perfect.
Now, I'm no Ryan Harvey and I'm not here to give one heck of a speech, but I will say that I love and care for these humans more than almost anybody else in my entire life. I never knew that my heart needed to be filled with dorks like these, but now I know it does. And there's not any bit of shame to that. Just love. Love for the choir kids.
