Hey everyone, I've missed this. It's been about two months since my last post for the New Year and lemme just say that 2020 is off to one heck of a start. Kobe passed away, the presidential elections are this year, coronavirus keeps spreading. It's wild. In my life though too- it's been crazy! So far I've been accepted academically into all of the schools I applied for which has been such a blessing. Additionally, I've been auditioning and scheduling auditions for these schools' programs, and I've been feverishly applying for scholarship and grant applications to be able to go to school where I want.
It's strange because when I was a freshman, the seniors would always say, "Enjoy the time that you have in high school because it goes by so fast." I definitely heard them and believed them, but I didn't comprehend how important it is to take advantage of what's in front of you during these four years. I mean, public education is free, so I don't have to pay to go to school. I still live at home so I'm not paying for housing yet. I'm still growing and high school provides the perfect playing field to make mistakes and learn from them. It's awesome. High school's awesome!
Well, I'm not going to lie and say it's all awesome. I've pulled my fair share of all-nighters and venti iced coffees the next day, had so many cry-sessions, panicked over projects, and there's always going to be drama. But I'm telling you right now, make the most of it! Because this is your chance to experience and grow. And growing is beautiful.
I'm looking forward to stepping into March and seizing the day. It's so crazy to think I'm going to graduate in about 3 months or so. I'm ready to make the most of all the little moments I have left. Everything from the heartbreak to the sleepovers to the moments that my friends and I are singing in the car with the windows rolled down. Every moment. Let's make the most of it.
That's all for right now, nothing super exciting because I'm just working hard and trying to get stuff done. Send prayers for me & my scholarship endeavors because Lord knows I need them. Also, I'm praying for y'all as well. God is so good.
Much Love,
Del Miller
