Hello there, I'm Lanes! I'm a gal with a lot of nicknames, a plethora interests, and bold dreams, so allow me to talk about myself for a brief moment.

I'm an extroverted introvert, a Broadway Baby, a hammock enthusiast, an avid Netflix-er, & a very passionate person. I deeply enjoy puns, sunflowers, coffee shops, & driving with the windows down while singing in the car. Growing up, I was the girl who'd sing out her bedroom window, the kid who'd perform shows for her parents at the dinner table, the one who'd dance wildly in aisles of her local grocery store, & although the majority of those descriptions are still true, I've grown. & I'm still growing.

 

Along with growth, (& listing some of my favorite things,) I'm an even bigger fan of God whose reckless love is unfathomable and who's peace stretches far beyond what the mind can comprehend. It's crazy to think that the same God who painted the skies is the same God who created me (& YOU!) in his image.

Grant me a bit of grace and let's go on a little adventure for a bit. In all honesty, I have no idea why or how I ended up starting a blog. At first, "Messy & Kind" was more of a pastime; but it soon became a home for me to share, and now I hope that it becomes a home and safe space for you too. Now, I know that not every blog post here is perfect, but that's why it's called "Messy & Kind." Because there will be mess-ups. There will be spelling mistakes. There will be grammar errors. But that's okay! I'm online trying to be as genuine as possible, and that isn't always the prettiest thing. It isn't always the easiest thing. But I will tell you that it's worth it.
