This summer I was in a showwwww! I was in Brenda Strong in "Catch Me If You Can" with DCMS this summer! It was such a blast and such an exciting production.
This show was a first for me in a lot of ways. This was the first time that I was a lead in a musical. This was the first time I'd performed with a professional theater company. This was the first time that I had a show run longer than three days. This was the first time that I literally only knew four people in the cast. Like I said. This show had a lot of firsts for me.
Catch Me (as I will refer to it throughout this post) was an adventure for me. I did a lot of things for the first time and it was really exciting! I met so many rad and talented people and I got to spend my whole summer with them. What's better than that?
So below I'm going to put a sweet lil' slideshow and a couple of really important thank you's, so go read ahead if you'd like!
Costume Folks! (@anyone who helped with my costumes, hair, makeup, quick changes, etc.) Y'all are gems. Real gems. You never failed to make me look flawless every night, even when I was ugly crying onstage. Thank you babes.
Men In Black! Thank you for your love and support from behind the scenes! I loved getting to know y'all!
Kim and Danielle! Without your direction I would have been nothing. So thank you for the direction and support and encouragement. Ah!
Sydney, Elise, & Nate! You too! Your support and encouragement and direction have been wonderful and I am very very appreciative!
Cast! Dylan- thank you for kissing me every night even when my lipstick wouldn't stay matte. Alyssa- you're one heck of a mom. Nick- you are literally the sweetest. thank you for all of the encouragement and love and hugs. i love you. Noah- you are friggin' hilarious. Scott- thank you for being both a brother and a dad all at the same time. i love you. EVERYONE ELSE WHO IF I MENTIONED Y'ALL INDIVIDUALLY THIS POST WOULD NEVER END:
