i'm still around

Ack! I haven't been around very much, but I promise I'm still here! Life's been crazy, per usual, but it has been extremely wacky with finals and everything. Speaking of finals though, I'M OUT OF SCHOOL! I can't believe that! About 9 or 10 months ago I wrote my first post about my very first day of school and I've kept up talking about embarrassing stories and sappy moments ever since. It's kinda crazy to be real close to celebrating my baby's birthday! (AKA my blog; I don't have any living children. It's just me, my blog, and my hydroflask...)

Anywho, I'm here for yet AnOtHeR recap! Let's see... Since H2$ (peep my last post for a late night rambling session about my show), I've been pretty busy. I had my very last dance show with my dance family, whom I miss very much. It was bittersweet because I'm going to miss my team, but I know that I need to take care of my body and I'm in too much pain to dance every single day. So if you guys are reading this post, Asterisks*, I love every single one of you and I think that you are all talented beyond belief. You all will do lovely next year, and I can't wait to come and watch all of the shows!

The same weekend as the dance show we had the Vocal Department Banquet in which I cried all of my makeup off:

hannah took this candid while i was crying.

I just couldn't stop crying. The banquet was really fun and a handful of friends and family came to support me, but I didn't really get emotional until after the night was over.

I walked up to Mr. Haro and then started talking about how I know I'm annoying but how- and then I stopped. I choked up so quickly I couldn't even say thank you without bawling. So it took me probably 15 minutes to get out my whole speech. Long story short, I'm really thankful for this man. He's basically a second dad to me and he's taught me so much about music and life, it's unreal. A massive thanks for grabbing ice cream and coffee with Kelley and I and letting me keep your fidget cube for weeks on end or even letting me take home one of your weird leather bags or conducting batons (both of which I still have LOL). This year has just been so much fun and if it weren't for this dude, I likely wouldn't even have transferred from OCSA. Thanks.

With that said, I was a wreck for the rest of the night, but it was a blast. I lettered, meaning I got my letter for my letterman jacket. And I got a pin for my jacket too. I'm just so thankful for these people and I can't wait for this family to grow as the newbies come in next year. Below are some photos from the night

ALSO the same weekend was the infamous YOUTH CULTURE NIGHT!

YC Night was totally lit and I had a bunch of fun. I got to meet Cole and Savannah LaBrant and I was really close to crying. It was unreal. I tried my hardest not to fangirl, but they just radiate and glow and I couldn't stop smiling and uhh... I'll stop now. It was just one of the most fun nights I've had in a very long time and it was even cooler to have played those "Holy Spirit Pads" and keys for the weekend!

After that weekend, was finals and stuff! So here are some fancy photos of my frands and I at graduation! I'm gonna miss my seniors!

And now that school's out, I haven't done much yet. Oh wait! I forgot to announce something!

I'm in ANOTHER show! Yep! You heard that right, this summer I'll be in DCMS's production of "Catch Me If You Can" and it's going to be AWESOME. I'll be playing Brenda Strong, the female lead of the show (CRAZY, I KNOW RIGHT! This is a first for me!), and I plan to write lil' blurbs about it over the course of the summer, but as for right now I can only say that it is going to rock. I'm in love with the cast that I've been blessed to work with and the part that I've been given. So that's kinda it right now. I'm just so stoked for one of the best summers EVAH.

Much Love,

Delaney Miller

here's a photo of scott looking dead and me not looking and well- you know, the usual. (saw scott in addams!)
