Wow. It's been a year since I've posted!
(JUST KIDDING I WON'T BE THAT PERSON.)
(but I sooooo am that person...)
Anywho, hello! I feel like I kinda went into hibernation for about a month or so. I apologize for having disappeared. It's been pretty nice to take a break- I won't lie, but I honestly have missed posting and informing everyone about my life that just never stops. I have so much to share since the last time I posted, but a lot has happened since I've last posted, so I'm only going to be posting about certain things rather than everything. (But all of that will come in a different post.)
As for this post, I would like to discuss 2017. Now, I'm aware that the past year was wacky and hectic, but I'm going to be focusing on a wide array of subjects, so don't close out this tab just yet.
To kick everything off, my site this year got 1,303 post views. That means my posts were clicked on 1,303 times this year! And my blog launched in late August! That's insane! Next, throughout 2017 I've had 1,241 site visits from the USA. I've also had 2 from India, 2 from the UK, and 1 from Colombia! (Shoutout to JBo!)
Besides my blog, a bunch has happened this year. In my top nine, from the top left to the bottom right, I made 9 killer memories. (Of course there are more, but I should keep this short and sweet.)
This first one was from the THHS homecoming I attended with some of my choir pals. That was insane. I have a whole post on that so you can read that post if you want more info on that night.
The second photo was from Lost Canyon 2017! That's my girl Nicole and I wearing our theme night costumes out on our cabin's deck. Lost Canyon '17 was such an emotional week for me, per usual, but this year I bonded so much with this chica and I'm so blessed to call her a close friend of mine.
The third was from OCSA's Winter Formal of 2017 when I still attended my arts school. My boyfriend at the time and I went to formal together and had such a great time and that's one of the funny phots that was taken that night.
The fourth photo was from Mariner's tree lighting just last month. A bunch of my church comrades and I sang in the Christmas choir that night and it was such a blast.
The fifth was the afternoon that I asked Luke to formal when we were out at lunch with a bunch of our friends and our families.
The sixth is my band, BNDATORY! I could not ask for a better group of talented humans to not only play music with, but to grow alongside of. This picture was taken at a camp that we spontaneously were asked to lead worship at. I met so many folks who changed my life there and established so many wonderful relationship with people like Susan and Tiff and Caleb and Lewis and Amy. This camp was full of laughs and tears and worshipping so hard we got sick to our stomachs. #iforgottobrushmyteeth
The seventh here was from FoHo. This is my intern family. These folks rocked my world. The five of them are some of the most hilarious, encouraging, caring, talented, faith-filled souls I know. I had the pleasure of working alongside them all summer long, and I would not have traded those memories for anything else. Cleaning Italian dressing out of my hair for these people was worth it. SO worth it.
Number eight was from the THHS Holiday choir concert. I was so blessed to perform in two quartets and to sing carols with my Chamber choir. The other ladies in this picture were apart of our solo performance quartet and they rocked it onstage that night.
And last but not least, number nine was from the unforgettable OCSA '17 Season Finale. Performing in Season Finale on Segerstrom stage was exhilarating. This photo was taken right after Bianca had done my makeup for that night. Long story short, it was incredible.
On top of my blog and my top nine, there were so many incredible things about this year:
I was taught by all four of my favorite teachers in one year. That is one thing that will never happen again. Garritano, Steiner, Haro, and Finnerty. Thank you for teaching me. I've learned SO MUCH from the four of you this year.
I made the decision to transfer this year. It's honestly been one of the scariest things I've ever done, but I'm so thankful for the opportunities it's given me.
I was in my first theater production in years. Drama II has blessed me with the time and resources to have been in a super rad show this past year, which was one thing that I never had time to do at OCSA.
(& sooooo much more!!!)
2017 has had its ups and downs, its pros and cons, its happy moments and crappy moments, but overall, it's been a year of growth. I am praying for 2018 and that it is full of just as many memories, if not more! I can not wait for the fresh start this year is bringing us, and I can not wait for all of the growth that this year will bring.
Much Love,
Delaney Miller
