Let me start off by

saying that my lovely momma took photos for my concert last night and none of them turned out. At all. But I still love the memories so I'm posting them anyways. Sorry for the poor quality pictures.

Boy oh boy do I have a fun post for you today! Friday October 27, 2017 was the first time I performed onstage with THHS. This Vocal Department is insane. Y'all are some of my greatest friends and I'm so thankful for you. Especially Chamber Choir, I love you all! Each and every one of you! I'm so privileged to be apart of this family. I mean it. I could go on for hours talking about how thankful I am for y'all or how

talented y'all are though, but I'm going to post about what makes y'all stand out to me today.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm always greeted with kindness when I walk into the choir room. I feel loved and cared for the moment I walk in there. Also, I've never walked in and out of the choir room without someone checking in with me to see how I'm doing and how they can help. I genuinely don't know anyone else who does that. It's crazy just how much asking someone how they're doing can improve their day. I'm apart of an ensemble who cares for one another enough to ask how I'm doing. Dang.

Also, I'm apart of an ensemble who will stand up for one another. I've been in plenty of various choirs, but I know of no other that truly shows so much respect for one another. If someone's speaking poorly of someone else in this department, we're all in it together. If someone is dealing with someone else who's bullying them or is making them

feel uncomfortable or unsafe, we're all in it together. I'm at a regular public high school and I'm living the High School Musical Dream haha! But in all seriousness, I'm apart of a family where we've got each others back. I'm trust you all a bunch and I am just so thankful for y'all.

Next, we support each other no matter what. It was my very first concert on Friday and not only was I singing and representing Chamber Choir, but I was also singing a solo which I had originally learned at OCSA, my previous school. I was incredibly nervous, but I made it through fairly well if I do say so myself! As soon as I had finished singing my solo, I got a standing ovation from Chamber. I've never gotten that before. They were so encouraging and so caring and I just was blown away at their unity. They cheer others on not for the benefit of themselves, but just because that's who they are. Once again, I've never been in a choir that encouraging before. It's

astounding.

Honestly, transferring has been wonderful and traumatizing at the same time, but this family of mine has made everything okay. Better than okay. Really wonderful honestly. I mean, if it weren't for choir and this program I would not have transferred schools. You guys make all the difference. The fact that you convinced me to transfer is insane. The fact that I have not regretted transferring is insane. The fact that I have never felt left out or unloved is insane. The fact that I get to spend the next 1. 2, or 3 years (depending on what grade you're in this year) with each of you is insane. And I can't wait. There are so many more adventures to come. I can't wait for San Francisco. I can't wait for festival in a couple of weeks. I can't wait until our next concert. I can't wait until the next time we sing in the parking garage. I don't think that anyone else would be as excited as I am about singing in a parking garage.

Not only do we sound amazing because the

austin, ryan (milton), and i/me and my bros

acoustics are incredible, but it's such a bonding experience. Every time Chamber goes down there to sing, I tear up. I'm friends with everyone in there, but I'm also making great music with everyone in there. I am always blown away. Y'all are some of the sweetest humans and I am just so thankful for each and every one of you.

Additionally, I get to make memories with y'all every day. I have this class every day. HOW COOL IS THAT?! I get to walk into fifth period every day knowing that memories are about to be made. That rocks. I've been there for about three months now and I have already made some good memories. From pocket pal vibrato buddies, to Milton and the Boys. From "cars with wings," to "juice in the cake." From Nick Wilde to laughing without smiling. It's been a good time so far and I just wan't wait for the rest of the year.

I'm so grateful for y'all I think you get the point, so I'm just going to shut up now, but I love you and I

am so grateful for my choir family. Cheers!

Much Love,

P.S. Tomorrow is Halloween, so if you're going out, please remember to stay safe. Make sure your pets are safe too! Also, don't eat any already opened or "sketchy" candy. Lastly, have fun!♡
