15/15

FINALLY. THE LAST POST OF THIS SERIES.

oh boy. 15/15:

Everything is not what it seems.

*insert the Wizards of Waverly Place theme song*

Ahahaha, I think a better way to put this last point is more along the lines of 'I don't have it all together.' I made this my last post of the series specifically to let y'all know that even though my life can look pretty cool and perfect, it isn't.

These photos here are from a little Fourth of July shoot I did this year with a couple of my pals. If you looked at these photos without knowing me, they could have been apart of a Hollister Co. ad. When I look at these photos I almost forget that they were taken for fun, not because it was for a magazine cover shoot or something along those lines. It felt like I was living in a movie, everything about that day just seemed so perfect. What's so funny is that I woke up the next morning completely sunburnt and anxious about work. I felt miserable. But if you didn't know that and you had only seen these pictures, you wouldn't have assumed otherwise.

The reason I'm telling you this story is because I'd like to point out that I'm not perfect. I'm not always put together. My Instagram feed is not always accurate, I'm not always hanging out with friends or going to the coolest places. My grades aren't always super hot, sometimes I struggle in my classes. I'm not always feeling the best about myself, I definitely have my days. I'm not put together, but you know what? That's okay!

I feel like my blog title "messy and kind" is so fitting because that's exactly who I am. I wrote 15/15 because I've learned that I don't have it together. I've learned that I need to be okay with realizing that I don't live in a perfect world. Not everything I do will be "aesthetically pleasing" and that's alright.

I'd day my first series went alright. I didn't fall behind with posting and the scheduling system I'd been using kind of worked out, but really, I'm most grateful for all y'all. As a miniature wrap up, I just wanted to say thanks y'all for being so kind and supportive. For sticking with me through thick and thin. For coming back to my blog day after day for a new post. I really appreciate it. As usual, go ahead and hit that like button if you feel called to do so and feel free to subscribe below.

Much Love,

Delaney Miller
