My uncle got me a bright yellow journal for my birthday one year. He wrote in it when he gave it to me and he told me to start writing and never ever stop.
It's funny because as a kid I would write about how "in love" I was with Joe Jonas when he starred in the DCOM "Camp Rock." Now I'm writing on a weekly basis to produce content for my very own blog. It's insane. Now, I will never compare to any of the greats, but that's okay. I'll always continue writing. I will write what I'm feeling, what I'm thinking, and really just whatever I want to say.
Writing is an emotional outlet. I use writing to express myself. Sometimes it's even easier than music because I'm not doing it to please anyone else or meet anyone's standards. I use writing as an emotional outlet to let me release how I'm feeling and not bundle everything inside of myself. Finding a healthy emotional outlet is so helpful. It doesn't have to be creative like mine is, for all I care it could be petting your dog or taking a nap or watching Parks and Rec. Also, notice my word choice and how I wrote a "healthy" emotional outlet. When I say healthy, I mean that it won't hurt you or anyone around you. It's meant to benefit you and maybe even those around you. My advice for today is to find an emotional outlet or at the very least try something you may use as an emotional outlet i.e. building legos, dancing to a song, going for a walk outside, etc.
That's it for today so I'll see you tomorrow; same time, same website.
(I tried to make that sound like the Batman cartoon closings, like the ones with Adam West, but it didn't really work, so I apologize for the cringe.)
Much Love,
