Piece three!

my go to "ME TIME" movie

Finding time to yourself.

I've mentioned that I struggle with doing this. It's really hard for me because I love to fill up my schedule and be busy and needed and to always have something to do. Finding time to sit or sleep or read or just breathe though is so crucial because it allows you to slow down. I love to live my life fast paced and as some of my friends say, I tend to live my life in the "fast Lanes," (Lanes is a nickname of mine, so it's actually quite ironic,) but that's not good for me. As an extroverted introvert, being with people is cool and all, but I also need to recharge and give myself alone time or else I start to go a little bit crazy. If you're someone who likes to fill up their schedule just as much as me, maybe try scheduling some down time this week. Don't view it as something that is just there unless you've been invited to do something else, but make it a top priority. And use that down time well. Since I sing for work, I don't sing in my "me time" because I find myself critiquing everything. That means that your "me time" shouldn't consist of work, it shouldn't consist of chores, it shouldn't be anything that you don't enjoy. Whether you spend that time napping or watching The Office or baking an abundance of cookies, it should be done doing something relaxing and stress relieving.

I can't stress this point enough because making time for yourself is so good and healthy for you. That's piece three though, come back tomorrow for advice bit #4!

Much Love,

Delaney Miller
