blurry & busy

This post is not a devotional, but rather a recap of what's been going on lately. (I'm going to be posting much more than devotionals because this is a virtual version of myself and there's more to me than just devos, so just sit back and enjoy because this is an adventure for both of us.)

So far, school's been crazy. I've been trying to balance classes that I have no time to take. I've been trying to make new friends and that's been really hard for me. I've been trying to become more confident in who I am, but I don't really feel different. Everything's been really busy and really messy lately, but that's who I am:)

The only things that are pulling me through the school day are dance and choir. I love my arts classes. I'm having so much fun dancing every day and expressing myself in unique ways. I'm also having a blast singing my heart out in choir.

Specifically in choir, (just gonna give a shoutout to my super cool program,) I'm learning and growing so much. It's been a week and a half and I feel like I'm learning more than I had ever imagined. Chamber Choir, I can proudly say that you have been one of the best things to happen to me, and it's only been a week and a half. From vocal lessons to choir rehearsals to conducting lessons, I'm just so thrilled. I sang the national anthem at my very first football game because of you. I am going to my first festival in November because of you. I'm going to SAN FRANCISCO in April because of you! I am auditioning for things I never thought I could because of you. The opportunities I've been given are incredible, and I'm so excited to make this my new home. The moment I step into the choir room I feel like I can finally breathe. Thank you for making me feel as safe and as comfortable as possible. I honestly can not explain how lucky I feel to have wonderful humans like you wave hello to me in the hallways or make sure I feel valued on the daily. I love you all so dearly and I am just so thankful for you. Cheers to a year of firsts and friendship. I can't wait.

I honestly could talk about everything that's been going on lately for hours, but I have a million assignments to do. (I know, I know, the student lifestyle is not an extremely fun one, but it's an important one because getting an education is crucial.)
